The Halley Memorial Fund was established as a way to honor the memories of Dr. Hasse K. Halley and Stephen R. Halley. Both were deeply passionate about the power of education to change lives for the better. They instilled this love in their children and touched many students’ lives in their involvement in, for Steve, Hillel Director at UVM and in myriad community-related initiatives and for Dr. Halley, a beloved English teacher and administrator for over 50 years.
Steve and Hasse valued education and community above all else. The family desires to keep their parents’ legacy alive and strong by supporting Woodstock Union High School graduating students to thrive in a college setting. The Memorial Scholarship will help students follow their dreams and access education.
