Steve and Hasse made their home a haven to all. They opened their home to travelers, newcomers, visitors, and neighbors for Shabbat meals every Friday night for over 15 years. They raised five children and cared for and loved eleven grandchildren. Introduced while in college by Steve's brother Jeff, - Hasse attended SUNY Albany and Steve attended RPI - they married June 24, 1963 and eventually moved to Vermont to build their lives in a place they loved to visit while they were dating. They loved to renovate old houses and lovingly lived in and tended to over 24 houses in their 48 years together.
